To streamline your experience, these are some of the most frequently asked questions and my associated policies. This list is by no means comprehensive, so do not hesitate to get in touch for further information on these or any other questions you might have.
Bookings require a 20% non-refundable deposit for confirmation, unless otherwise agreed.
Bookings are accepted up to one week in advance, after which a 20% surcharge may apply. To ensure commitments to other clients are honoured, expected image delivery for short-notice bookings may be extended by up to a week.
Image proofs are delivered for digital download via private online dropbox within the agreed timeframe, though usage rights and high-resolution files are not provided until payment is received. Upon delivery, you may request high-quality prints of your favourite images, typically delivered within another week.
Image rights are shared with clients according to their application upon final payment. Unless otherwise negotiated, all copyrights remain the property of the creator.
Images commissioned for personal use are licensed to the client for unlimited usage and reproduction in private, non-commercial applications. These images may not be sold, nor may they be used commercially by the client or any recipient without written consent from the photographer.
Images commissioned by commercial clients are licensed for promotional purposes such as in internet, print, and social media. Licensing for the sale of commissioned images by the client or transfer of copyright must be negotiated separately, and may incur additional fees.
Contact email@example.com for further information regarding image usage, copyrights and licensing.
Invoices are issued upon delivery of digital proofs. Payment of any remaining balance is required within one week of invoice issuance.
Delivery of film images depends on lab turnaround time, which is typically 1-2 weeks. Digital scans are included. Prints are extra, but are available upon request.
Though all client film is developed by a professional photo lab, processing problems are still possible. In the event of such complications, you will be offered a re-shoot free of charge.
For commissions outside the Greater Toronto Area, additional travel fees may apply. Any such fees will be calculated and discussed in advance to keep you comfortable and on-budget.
